Challenge
This poster series was meant to take a common theme to represent the Principles of Design. As I was spinning the wheels on what common theme they should take, I decided to taken advantage of my surrounds and take a stroll.

Approach
My approach to this poster series was to immerse myself in my surrounds and look for the Principles of Design through a lens of curiosity and resourcefulness. This meant disconnecting and simplifying my approach to just taking a walk around the area I reside while looking for what spoke to me.

Outcome
Living in downtown Denver meant it was difficult to ignore the most common theme: vertical architecture. The detail of each building began to emerge as I viewed them through the simple lens of the Principles of Design. Most of the architecture used an aspect of all the principles in combination but it became fun when a certain building stuck out by a principle in itself and those are the ones we see recreated here.
